Re: Chrysidid from Central Europe - help with ID

A Chrysis female in the ignita-complex, very likely C. angustula but could perhaps be C. leptomandibularis as well, not possible for me to say for sure

Re: Chrysis ignita/ruddii or something else?

... gold/red/purple reflections, very dense punctation and are very broad. This is one of the slender species, like C. leptomandibularis or a slim C. angustula . Without looking at the thickness of the mandibles I dont dare say which although it seems a good fit for the former.

Re: Chrysis ?

Hi!

That's not so easy,

Chrysis ignita group, probably C. angustula based on the small dimensions and punctation, but it could be also C. leptomandibularis.

Cheers

Re: Female of Chrysis ignita (8mm)?

Not really possible to say with these ignita-group specimens, it does not look like the true ignita to me, rather more like impressa/angustula/corusca etc

Chrysis leptomandibularis, C. angustula or C. schenki?

My bet is C. leptomandibularis because of the very thin mandibles and greenish sternites. Found in the Netherlands, North Holland, on 24 september 2021.

Chrysis angustula

... think first about C. gracillima). After checking, I think it might be Chrysis leptomandibularis or maybe C. angustula but punctation on T3 is very dense. EDIT : finally it seems to be C. angustula _7D_1420 ...

Re: Chrysidid Belgium

The top image is a female Chrysis sp. in the ignita-complex, and while it does look a lot like C. angustula I dare not give you a confident ID

The last image is however easier to ID, it's Chrysis gracillima, female :)

Nice pictures!

Ciao Ettore,

Ciao!
