Re: Hedychridium? Close to roseum?

... looks too much dense and coarse. In this area there are other species with the same colouration, but with slightly different shape of the head: H. mediocrum and H. sculpturatum . Anyway, without the specimen in your hands ... it's impossible to add something else. Thanks Paolo

Re: Another unknown Hedychridium

For me it is not rossicum (the valid name for valesiense, see the paper of Paolo Rosa), because rossicum has a gold-green metallic patch on the central sternite.
But I cannot say if it is sculpturatum or mediocrum.

Re: A strange chrysid on dry calcarous grassland

Yes,
it's the same,
however Arens (2010: pag 413) uses H. mediocrum Linsenmaier, 1987 and not mediocrate Kimsey, 1991 (unnececessary replacement name) with explanation of these names.

Re: A strange chrysid on dry calcarous grassland

Is mediocrum Linsenmaier = mediocrate Kimsey ? Arens uses mediocrate in his paper (2015, key of the Hedychridium & Chrysis angustifrons-elegans).

Re: A strange chrysid on dry calcarous grassland

Hi,

yes, there's another option:

Hedychridium mediocrum Linsenmaier.
It's also quite common and females have non metallic abdomen and genae (in dorsal view) subparallel to slighlty divergent (not rounde as in H. roseum and H. valesiense females)

Re: Hedychridium sp. - Italia

Provo a rispondermi da solo :D ....dopo aver consultato le chiavi riportate su "I crisidi della Valle d'Aosta" :)

....avrei pensato a Hedychridium mediocrum Linsenmaier, 1987

Aspetto commenti......

Ciao Andrea
