How do you find Hedychrum chalybaeum ?? :ok:
I never found this species, even it have a large distribution !
I find often gerstaeckeri, rutilans, sometimes niemelai, in sandy area, nobile (but not in my region :s), longicolle is very common in south of France... but no chalybaeum ^^.

Hedychridium gerstaeckeri mating

Hi folks,
yesterday it was the first time in all these years I saw a mating of H.gerstaeckeri.
Unfortunately the couple didnt't get comfortable with my shooting and... went off...

I found many Hedychrum gerstaeckeri (3 localities, > 10 views) in Franche-Comté (east of France).
They looks like this Hedychrum sp.

As far only nobile, rutilans, niemelai and gerstäckeri are known from Denmark.

Thanks Alex, I didn't know that Hedychrum has such a notch at the rear edge of T3, but now that you tell me it is an ... showing that feature if I'm right. Does the pic 7 help to confirm that it isn't gerstaeckeri ? Are those pictures of the inner side of the middle tibia useful to see ...
