Re: N. Apennines: identification possible?

I never found C. leachi in natura, but this species is present in south of France (I have 1 specimen from Marseille). However C. cortii is commoner (in wall in east of France, and souchwest), in south and maybe in the rest of France (Dordogne, Aude, Franche-Comté). May be C. leachi has ...

Chrysis cortii - France

Hi,
the shown species I found two weeks ago in our garden near Neufchateau (Lorraine).
There were some few animals prospecting a wall and visiting vine-leaves. Could it be Chrysis cortii?

All the best Paul

Re: Chrysis cortii

Hi Jerome,
nice, I would like to see pictures of the other species you met there.
C.cortii I saw only once this year and I only could get a miserable "documentation-shot",
but: it's still better than nothing... ;)
All the best Paul

Re: Chrysis cortii

Right! :ok:

I bet that you collect them mostly at the base of the walls, usually from ground level to 1 meter?
Is it right?

Re: Chrysis cortii

Another picture (Lot, south of France) : it looks like the "environment" where I found cortii : old walls in rocks, with sands or clay between rocks (Miscophus nest between rocks), in the villages (when there are many old houses in rocks or old walls).
