Hi!

interesting finding.
I'm not sure, but this could be the male of Holopyga merceti Kimsey or H. duplicata Linsenmaier.
However, not even Linsenmaier (1997) was able to separate males of these two species.

This one is from today in my garden on carrot flowers. 07/07/2018, 700 masl, Talara, Granada, S Spain.

Holopyga jurinei sensu Linsenmaier, 1959.
Diagnostic is the coloration (anterior margin of pronotum blue and metascutellum metallic red).

Face detail

This looks to me like Holopyga merceti, but from S Spain. Approx. 6-7 mm. 1900 masl. 24/06/2017. Dúrcal, Granada, S Spain.
