... to get a correct ID. And a sexdentata. That’s four species coming to check out sleeping places in an area about 50 x 50 cms! (The 4th being a scutellaris, which I think I can ID after advice here last year). Your help is much appreciated. Brian

I have a Chr.scutellaris marteni from France, is it possible?

This specimen is 8mm.....All Ch.scutellaris what I see and what I have in my collection was the classic colours. My specimens are all with red and golden scutellum.

Hmm, that is a Spanish subspecies, and its supposed to be much larger than C. scutellaris scutellaris - how big is your specimen? Compared to "normal" C. scutellaris we have in central Europe? Also, the red/golden colour of the scutellum and metanotum ...
