Re: Chrysis graelsii?

:welcome: Bogdan!

You're right! This specimen is very close to Chrysis graelsii.

Nevertheless, in Crimea there should be at least other two very similar species: C. valesiana and C. jaxartis.

You can consider it as graelsii group.
Cheers

Right!

That's why Sicilian specimens are truly graelsii and not perezi :D

Re: Chrysidini from Spain

... but I have little experience with the continental fauna - we only got bicolor and illigeri up in Sweden... It seemed to me to match well with the graelsii -group from what I read, but I must confess I have never encountered it before. I will keep searching for a better match! /Alex

Re: Chrysidini from Spain

After looking around a bit in the litterature I have brought with me, the species Chrysis valesiana Frey-Gessner, 1887 seem to be a good match? I'm at least quite sure its a graelsii-group species, but I could be wrong.

Re: species from graelsii group?

... the first specimen is valesiana . Nice finding! About the name sybarita/graelsii: the correct name is graelsii Guérin-Meneville, 1842. C. graelsii ... and for a very long time, was wrongly considered as synonym of Chrysis analis Spinola. Invrea (1948: 258) placed graelsii in synonym of ...

Re: species from graelsii group?

Sorry, colleagues!
My mistake - it is the male of Chrysis sybarita (= graelsii) on photo.
