I'm not sure about this, but I would venture to guess that it could be Chrysis analis?
Its a female Chrysis sp. thats for sure.

Chrysis analis? or mediata?

Hello, I'm new to this site. I usually find Chrysis ignita, fulgida and immaculata in my garden in Belgium. Today I thought ... at the sides of tergite 1, 2) a green yellowish last tergite. Could it be C. analis, or is it something else? Thanks for helping with ID. Kurt

Thanks Alex, it was a very robust, broad species. And indeed I compared it with C. analis from Italy and it looks totally different. Thanks for the suggestion of C. splendidula!

I think C. analis only have the T3 blue posteriorly of the pit row (i.e. only the "apical teeth"), this looks more like Chrysis splendidula to me (from pictures on this website), but maybe that species is not broad enough. This ...

2 Chrysididae Zakynthos

Pictures today 11/7/2013 Zakynthos.
First one I think maybe Chrysis analis? Rather large and stocky, about 6-7mm (only 1 picture)
The other one smaller, about 4-5 mm (3 pictures), mayby a hedychrum spec.?

Chrysis splendidula Rossi, 1790 - Zakynthos (Greece)

I found this one, today 10/7/13 on Daucus carota. Rather large, about 6-7mm, I'm not sure. Maybe Chrysis analis?
