Re: Pseudomalus Belgium ?

Nice pictures! Its a Hedychrum sp., malei, ts either H. nobile or H. niemelai , although the size makes the latter more probable. Potentially it could also be H. gerstaeckeri but ...

Re: Hedychrum sp. SW-Germany

Hello :) for separate nobile niemelai, you must show the third sternit (especially the apical tooth), but it is not easy : it is very small :/

Re: Hedychrum sp. SW-Germany

Hi Paul,

yes, it could be H. niemelai,
nevertheless, as you know, you should check the ventral surface of the abdomen to be sure 100%

In case of large specimens (7-8 mm) they are surely H. nobile, but in case of smaller specimens you need the help of morphological characters.

Ciao!

Re: chrysis sp, Denmark

:welcome: Ole!

Beautiful pictures!

It's a female of Hedychrum, very likely niemelai Linsenmiaer.
However, to be 100% sure it is necessary to examine the third sternite (the last part of the abdomen, in ventral view). The other option is Hedychrum nobile (Scopoli)

Cheers
Paolo

Re: Hedychridium? Bitte ID-Genus

... , Englich with Google Translator. > then it must be a female Hedychrum. Holopyga generosa is not present in the biotope. Very often Hedychrum ... only Hedychrum. For the region are reported: H. gerstaeckeri, H. niemelai, H. nobile, H. rutilans. It remains almost exclusively Hedychrum ...

Re: a sleeping beauty

I think it is a female Hedychrum, nobile or niemelai, with this "big" size, nobile, but I'm not sure.

Re: Hedychrum nobile?

Hi Bogdan, it looks like a female of Hedychrum niemelai Linsenmaier, because it is slender and not "robust". The dimensions are very important ...
