Re: A identificare

Hi chrysidid-fans :wohow: , I think it is a Chrysura of radians species group : propodeum is gibbous with a basal depression ... and it has no depression on the basis of the propodeum. I don't know Chrysura varicornis & sulcata (but I remember they have an angulate propodeum, no ?). ...

Re: green/ruby Chrysid near Jaca, Spanish Pyrenees

I think it is Chrysura sp, maybe refulgens male (postscutellum angular), but do you have an estimation of the size, refulgens is a big species (10-13 mm) and I never viewed some species (sulcata, varicornis, male trimaculata but I think it is too late for trimaculata).

Re: Green-ruby chrysid from Pyrenees

Hi Cor,

this one should be the female of Chrysura varicornis (Spinola),
do you have a pictures of the face in frontal view to see the length of antennal segments?

Re: Chrysididae sp. from Fuerteventura II

For me here, the postscutellum is angulate : Chrysura sp (radians group).

With this postscutellum, I think of several possibilities : varicornis, sulcata, refulgens, trimaculata (& rufiventris?).

Re: From Portugal - Chrysura trimaculata

Hi Alex,

I'm quite sure that it's a female of Chrysura varicornis, which is very common everywhere in the Iberian peninsula.
It also has a similar punctuation of the abdomen.

Cheers
