Re: Chrysidid morphology

... me is the mesopleural sculpture Linsenmaier refers to when keying Elampus sp. in his publications. I dont know if this is a good or a bad character (seeing as he confused E. panzeri and C. constrictus), but the fact that I cant even find it is a bit troubling... ...

Chrysura refulgens (Spinola) Northern Italy!

Today, Alpi Marittimi, Northern Italy. I think maybe Elampus because of the pointed last end of the backplate (but only because I saw Elampus panzeri once in the Netherlands.... :? ). About 10mm (estimate)

Re: Chrysididae Netherlands:Elampus panzeri !

Paolo, thank you :thanks: !
Contacts and networks are important in entomology. If I can be of any assistance (not by knowledge :( ) as a linking pin, no trouble. So we can learn more all together.
Kind regards,
Pietsje

Re: Chrysididae Netherlands:Elampus panzeri !

Hi everyone,

after a better examination of the pictures I can say that Theo was right and we can ID this specimen as E. panzeri sensu Móczár (1964).

Thanks Pietsje.
Regards
Paolo

Re: Chrysididae Netherlands:Elampus panzeri !

Paolo,
Thanks for the explanation! You can change the title in the most appropriate name if you want. I shall pass this information to Theo Peeters, since he gave me the id.
Kind regards,
Pietsje

Re: Chrysididae Netherlands:Elampus panzeri !

... (1959). Me (in my papers) and Niehuis (in Fauna.org, Fauna Germanica etc.) follow Móczár's interpretation (1964). Thus the correct name should be Elampus constrictus (Foerster, 1853). I found the type in Berlin (lost in one old paper box and unfortunately almost destried). However this name should ...

Re: Chrysid 9

Hi Hedy, your specimen belongs to the genus Elampus and should be constrictus Foerster sensu Moczar (1964) [= panzeri Fabricius sensu Linsenmaier 1959]. To be sure 100% I should examine at least the anal margin, ...
