Re: Hedychridium roseum group

Ah ok I see the differences for the angle of dorsal view of the head !

:thanks: for your remarks and tips !

Angles of head are rounded and sternite 2 is black with a median small greenish mark.

I make one "good" picture of genitalias (ventral view) and it'is ok ! (it is not easy ^^).

Re: Hedychrydium roseum?

Hi!

interesting finding.
I'm not sure, but this could be the male of Holopyga merceti Kimsey or H. duplicata Linsenmaier.
However, not even Linsenmaier (1997) was able to separate males of these two species.

Re: Hedychrydium roseum?

its a Holopyga, the sharp temples in the last image is rules out Hedychridium and Hedychrum. No idea what species though, I find the genus hard to get a grip on

Nice pictures, both these and the other posts! :ok:

Re: Hedychridium roseum?

Hi Paul,

I'm not sure 100%.
It could be also a form of Hedychridium caputaureum, for the evident golden-green face and posterior margin of pronotum.

Ciao!
