Hello :) Amongst many well known Chrysids, I found today this one, most likely belonging to the ignita complex.
It was on a dead tree, Le Havre, Normandy, France.

It is probably difficult to ID but if you have a suggestion, thanks in advance :)

Great pictures as always.

I was thinking "could this be schencki?" but didnt think you would have a picture of the mandible thickness - but actually it is visible in the first picture! And it looks like it should in that species, so a semi-confident ID, but without the specimen at hand I'm still hesitant to really "confirm" it properly.

Exactly, usually I don't photograph the mandible because it is not very easy on live specimen !

C. schencki would be cool as I got no data for this species in Normandy yet..
