For a friend of mine, Eddy I would like to know the following:

Could someone help us with this one.
Found on 26/6/2012 in the southern part of the Netherlands on a sunny day at forrestborder on a henchpole. I add all three (poor) pics. It was sighted here http://waarneming.nl/waarneming/view/69429774?_popup=1
It was >10mm according to Eddy.
The resemblance struck Eddy with this one on Paolo's gallery - Chrysis equestris - but it is not known from the Netherlands.

Hi everyone!

Chrysis equestris Dahlbom is surely present in the Netherlands. It is widespread in Europe from the Mediterranean Countries (e.g. Italy) to the Baltic ones and Scandinavia as well. If nobody has still collected it there are various reasons: 1. it is very rare everywhere; 2. it usually flies very early in spring (from the middle of may); 3. they search for their host nests on the top of dead trees.

I cannot identify this specimen without direct examination or without the picture of the second sternite. In fact, the easiest character to separate fasciata and zetterstedti from equestris is given by the shape of the black spots on S-II.

I don't know if Villu can add anything ot the diagnosis.
