Chrysura refulgens (Spinola) Northern Italy!

Postby pietsje » 14 Jul 2012 21:36

Today, Alpi Marittimi, Northern Italy. I think maybe Elampus because of the pointed last end of the backplate (but only because I saw Elampus panzeri once in the Netherlands.... :? ). About 10mm (estimate)

Hi Pietsje!

This is an other common species along the W Mediterranean Counties.
It's Chrysura refulgens (Spinola), one of the largest Chrysididae in our Fauna.

Cheers and good researches!

Thanks Paolo. Difficult for me to know the difference here, what an abundance of wasps, bees and butterflies! It must be paradise to live here.... (:-D
Thanks, for now at least 2 new species for Parco Alpi Marittimi, but there's more to come after we've studied all our catches....
Kind regards,
Pietsje
