I have been to Croatia and I have found several specimens of Stilbum calens on thyme.

Hi Pavel,

do you have a picture of the thoracic sculpture?
According to Linsenmaier's revisions this should be called Stilbum calens wesmaeli Dahlbom.
Actually I checked the type of wesmaeli (in Stockholm) and found that is not a calens subspecies, but a different form related to cyanurum, probably an endemic subspecies of the Island of Rhodes.

Cheers
Paolo

Hi Paolo,

I have added next two pictures of the Stilbum. It sounds very interesting concerning the new subsp. from Rhodes.

Thank you,
Pavel

Hi Pavel,

this is Stilbum cyanurum (Forster) and not Stilbum calens (Fabricius). At least in Mediterranean countries, specimens of S. cyanurum during the warmest hours of the day can be entirely red or with red T-I and T-II as in this case. It's the only case in which the cuticula colour can change during the day.

Cheers
Paolo
