Hi to all,

This is my first post here so I hope that I do all good.

This specimen (the only one from this species) was collected on the old woods from a fence in a grassland. One of the photos can be seen bigger here.

Collected in Transylvannia, close to Abrud (~950m) in 12.july.2011, leg. Cosmin O. Manci.

Can this be IDed at species level? Thank you!

I'm sorry for the quality of images but I have some problems with stacking software.

This photos are posted also here.

Also another question, is anybody aware of any publications regarding fauna of Chrysididae from Romania. Thank you in advance also for this.

Welcome Cosmin :welcome:

I'm so glad to see you in our forum!!!

Also your pictures are of hight level.

I suggest to glue the genital capsula on the other side.
At least for Chrysidinae it's better fot their study.

This male belongs to the species: Chrysis angustula Schenck, 1856.
The Chrysis angustula aggregate has been recentely studied by Niehuis (2000).

As far as I know there are not papers on your fauna. But you can find many articles and books on Chrysidids from Hungary (Moczar and Mocsary, very good works) and Bulgaria (Atanassov and Ljubomirov).

May we use your picture for the site?

:thanks: in advance,
Paolo

Thank you Paolo,

for welcoming and your help.

I'm not a specialist of this group (as can you all see), but I like them a lot and in time I hope to get a big number of them from Romania and maybe even to publish something... with some help off-course :) .

Will try to redo the photos today, and will reprepare genitalia (and rephotograph it ;) ).

I will try to find the papers of Moczar and Mocsary, maybe there are also some old datas of Chrysididae from today territory of Romania. And have a start on data for/from Romania. At least the data that are found on Fauan EU regarding this group for Romania are very scarce.

And yes you can use the photos, but please wait to post the better photos.

:thanks:
