Hi to all,

This very small Chrysididae (almost 3,5 mm) was collected when was sitting on a very dry and small tree branch on the soil. Again in Iron Gate Natural Park, but sadly for me only this female.

A bigger photo here.

Is possible to say more? This was posted also here.

Dear Cosmin

I would say Hedychridium monochroum Buysson, 1888
even if it has a different colour from the typical W-European one.

In your Country there should be other 2 similar species:
Hedychridium zelleri (Dahlbom)
and Hedychridium adventicium Zimmermann,

both are very rare.
At least the first one is present in central Europe from Germany to Ukraine, the second one is more rare and it's distribution in not yet well known, even if it is present in central Europe too.

Ciao
Paolo

Is possible to check some feature, to be sure?
Also this species is not reported by Fauna EU as present in Romania... in fact only 14 species are reported from Romania after Fauna EU... and I have already in my "colection" 10 extra species :) .

Thank you also for this

No other possibilities except for a new species :D

About Fauna EU, don't trust it and take a look at the previous post:
