Nearly impossible to make pictures of this fast moving specimen. It took me hours to get it in focus and lots of miserable shots.
Paolo, do you have extra information on this species? How rare is it for Portugal?

Hi Kurt,

I based my citation in Fauna Europaea on a single specimen collected at Valle de Gaio by Andrade in 1947.

In Mingo (1994) there is no mention for this species in Portugal, which is very likely a new record.

According to Mingo this species is distributed everywhere in Spain, but citations are only for central and southern Spain. And I think only based on few occasional specimens.

Wow, Paolo, that blows my mind!
I did not collect it, I only have the pictures. I photographed taczanovskii on the walls of an old water mill in Castrelos, near Bragança, see http://observado.org/waarneming/view/122093016. I'm excited about this!
