Hello,

A small Elampini found in "La Pesse" (east of France, Jura, altitud : 1160m), the 11 VI 2017.

Habitat : found on the ground but there are many cavities in rocks : rocky outcrops & screes. but some places with earth (I see a small red & black sphecid, as Tachysphex, Miscophus or Astatinae some minutes before this Chrysid, & Lasioglossum on flowers).

Why cupratum :
colouration (exit roseum group, remark : scutum & pronotum are more red than in the pictures) ;
big puncture (not as coriaceum) ;
Metallic tibia (green with golden reflects)
sternite 2 with a broad golden metallic mark, head, thorax & abdomen with long whitish hairs.

Other test (use flash = thoracic colour is more realist).

What do you think about this specimen ?

Hi Jerome,

yes, the quality of the pictures is improved! Now try with the same colour background.

I think you're right, your specimen looks like a Hedychridium cupratum!

Check if there are wrinkles in the median part of scapal basin.

Cheers
Paolo
