Chrysis cf bicolor - Germany

Hi folks,
a friend of mine sent me some pics he made in August in Bavaria.
On these pictures a Chrysis is shown that is probably bicolor.
I would be happy when it could be confirmed or otherwise be labeled as C. illigeri.
My friend has documented a scene where a fly appears on the flower with the Chrysis on.
The cukoo-wasp immediatly furled itself.

All the best Paul

Hi Paul,

this is a very interesting behaviour indeed! :wohow:

I don't think that it's possible to ID your specimen with certainty from these pictures: C. bicolor or C.illigeri female.

Thanks!

Hi Paolo,

Thanks a lot!
So I 'll tell my friend to put an "sp." on that specimen... ;)

All the best Paul
