A friend has given to me some boxes of wasps (He studied Vespidae, Pompilidae, Spheciformes, Chrysididae, and other small families, especially in Franche-Comté - France, between 1965 & 1990).

I found a Chryside of the west of France : Bourgneuf, Loire Atlantique, 16 VII 1978. (on a costal dune).

-> my first ID was Chrysura laodamia iphimedeia (Trautmann). (Chrysura group simplex with the parallel gena).

-> but I found a small & vestigial TFC (transverso frontal carina).
could be Chrysis gracillima or Chrysis subsinuata (I found mediocris with Berland).

What do you think ?

Hi Jerome 8-)

you're right,
it's a female of Chrysura laodamia iphimedeia (Trautmann).
It's always an interesting species, rarely collected!

Hi nice !

Thank you for the confirmation !! As the locality is very septentrional for this species, I was not sure of the ID.

Maybe it is one of the first data of this species of France, what do you think ?
