Could this be Chrysis immaculata focussing in the garden on nest of Allodynerus rossii?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Ruurd! :welcome:

Yes, sure, you're right!
Allodynerus rossii (Lepeletier) is recorded as a possible host for this cuckoo wasps.
Super pictures,
thanks for sharing!

Thanks Paolo,

One more, this one looks a bit different to me. It misses a real golden line. Would it be immaculata anyway or could this be fulgida ?

Hi,

this should be the male of Chrysis immaculata, they are quite dimorphic, but not so much as Chrysis fulgida.
Do you have other views?

Ciao

Hello, very nice pictures !
If it is immaculata it is very interesting !
Ch. immaculata has a T I blue-green with a orange-red apical marge (in both sexes ?)

About sexual dimorphism : what do you want to see Paolo : the coloration is not the same between males and females ?

All the best !

Hi Jérôme,

yes, the colouration is the same in male and female, nevertheless the first tergum is usually more greenish in males, especially in Southern European populations.

PS: I received your e-mail, but I did not study that case yet, sorry.
