Hedychridium roseum group

Postby jeromec » 29 Jun 2019 14:49

Hello,

I found this chrysid on soil.
(26/6/2019, some km north-east of Dijon, France). New :geographic coordonate when I found this chrysidid and the other (in the mail ;-) ) : 47.426712 , 4.914767

Abdomen is red metallic, not orange dull.

genitalia looks like H. valesiense Lins. (I used the key in Arens, 2010) (= rossicum Balthazar).

What do you think about this species ?

Jérôme

Hi Jérôme,

to ID this species I need:
1) figure of the head in dorsal view (see this example from Arens for the right angle):

2) genitalia in ventral view (in Linsenmaier's style, see this example):

3) a picture of the sternites, to see the metallic reflections.
Ciao!

PS: the correct name for Hedychridium valesiense Linsenmaier is Hedychridium rossicum Gussakowskji

Ah ok I see the differences for the angle of dorsal view of the head !

:thanks: for your remarks and tips !

Angles of head are rounded and sternite 2 is black with a median small greenish mark.

I make one "good" picture of genitalias (ventral view) and it'is ok ! (it is not easy ^^).

Hello,

A bilan of this specimen :

- head : for me temples are not rounded, angles are blunt.
[for me they are like f. 121 of Linsenmaier -> scutellare in the legend, or like fig "4.b" or "4.c" in Arens - 2010)
- Sternite 2 is black with a median green metallic patch.

- for genitaia : during extraction I have slightly deformed the genitalias :? but I think they are like fig 118 (sculpturatum, in Linsenmaier, 1959), gonostyle are 3 l./w in my picture (and in fig. 118) and digitus not very long.

With the key of Arens (2010, about Hedychridium roseum group from Peloponnese) I hesited between sculpturatum and rossicum (valesiense in the key), with a preference for sculpturatum.

What do you think ?
