Armenian Chrysididae 2019

Had a great trip to Armenia this summer, lots of species and specimens. Also gave me the opportunity to photograph live specimens of some species (and species groups/genera) which I dont think has ever been imaged live before.

These should be the first live shots (at least to my knowledge) of a Pentachrysis sp., probably both P. seminigra? However Linsenmaier mentions more species, but the distinguishing characters all seem relative, so without anything else to compare with I don't dare giving them a proper ID.
Haven't actually imaged the mounted specimens yet, I guess that will be needed for ID's ?

First specimen, female:

And should be the male of the species:

Wow, absolutely great! Congratulations Alex for your superb pictures!

I recently borrowed some specimens from different museums to ID the Armenian specimens (as well as those from bordering countries) because the identification of the few species of this genus is unclear.
For the moment, you can keep the name P. seminigra, then we will see. Also Lukas collected several specimens and hopefully we will find an answer.

Did you also collect P. zharptitza and P. amoena in Armenia?

Ciao!

Thank you :)
I collected what I think is P. zharptitza, only females, but no P. amoena I suspect. Got some pictures of those too, I'll post them some time!

Here's a species I'm more confident in my ID, Holopyga mlokosiewitzi:

Found a good match for this specimens in Paolo's article on Radoszkowski's types, Chrysis eldari (Radoszkowski, 1893), a quite uniquely (at least in my limited experience) coloured beast!
I wonder if the black reflects light in the UV range...

Pentachrysis zharptitza Semenov 1912 - females
I remember many years ago reading a short mention that it is a particularly beautiful species inKimsey & Bohart 1991, I think the only non-scientific note in the whole book. Hoped that one day I would be able to see a specimen in some collection, never expected to collect several specimens myself, and be the first person to photograph the species live!
And if it wasn't for Paolo's publication in 2017 which imaged the type specimen it would have been the first images ever
