Chrysidid Belgium

Postby Grijzezeehond » 12 Jun 2020 15:52

Hi, i was wondering if this one could be ID'd. The golden patches are remarkable in my opinion. I didn't collect it, although I could find him again, because it's in my garden in my bee hotel. Belgium, June.
Thanks in advance!
Kurt

Can someone tell me how I should upload a picture in full resolution from iMac? The image is sharper than you can see now. Regards, Kurt

And another one, not a beautiful picture, but with a remarkable green metal edge of the last tergite. Idea for an ID?

Kurt

The top image is a female Chrysis sp. in the ignita-complex, and while it does look a lot like C. angustula I dare not give you a confident ID

The last image is however easier to ID, it's Chrysis gracillima, female :)

Nice pictures!

Hi Paul,
At the begining I think that the first chrysidid was ruddii but the first flagellomere have metallic reflects, malar space is too small (but these criteria are not easy to see here).
