Hedychridium sculpturatum or mediocrum ?

Hello, I found some Hedychridium sp. in a field, a kind of sandy hole. A few other species were at the same place (Feurs, France).

I don't know if it is possible to get ID without checking the genitalia ? It looks like Hedychridium mediocrum or sculpturatum or maybe valesiense ? I don't know about the criteria between these species...

Thank you !

Hi,
really nice Pics! Made in the studio or in the outback?
To me it looks like a male of Hedychridium rossicum.
But: this is only my opinion, not an ID.
All the best
Paul

Hello Paul, thanks for your message, I mostly catch the wasps to make the pictures at home, as it is much easier ; it saves my nerves :D
It looks like H. rossicum I agree but I don't know what are the criteria...
Best,
Frank

For me it is not rossicum (the valid name for valesiense, see the paper of Paolo Rosa), because rossicum has a gold-green metallic patch on the central sternite.
But I cannot say if it is sculpturatum or mediocrum.
