Hedychrum id possible?Holopyga c.f. generosa!
Posted: 10 Aug 2020 21:13I assume it is the 'ususal'suspect: H.nobile/niemelai or gerstacki. I think there are no other possibilities in The Netherlands, regarding Hedychrum species. But the rather square 'cheek'/ angle of the cheek (rather triangular shape) seems to be not as in the H. niemelai/nobile/gerstacki I photographed. Also more blue coloured (but that is probably not a significant issue). I fotographed a Hedychrum on the same day and location: much greener.
Unfortunately pics are not that great.
