[Chrysura refulgens]

Postby Frank_Canon » 03 Jun 2021 15:02

Hello again, I know I'm super active from June ! :D

My guess is Chrysura trimaculata for this one that I found near Montpellier, S. France : (metascutellum seems elevated and very dense punctation...). Or could it be C. dichroa ?

Am I right ? Thanks !
Frank

Hi Frank!

How large is this species?
I bet it's a very large one, around 10 mm.

I think it's Chrysura refulgens, as far as I know C.trimaculata is not distributed in S France.

Cheers

Hello Paolo,

Yes you’re right, it was quite big, so you are probably right about the species !

Thank you !
