Trip S-E France / Spain

Hello, Im just back from my trip and I thought it was maybe a good idea to publish all the pictures here, not only the unidentified species.

Early this month, I spent some days in the french Alps (Mercantour) but obviously it was too early for my target species (mainly Philoctetes putoni and Hedychridium cupreum). Though I did find some other species of Chrysids...

In Spain I focused in the surroundings of Soria where Alexander Berg has been prospecting few years ago. Many thanks to him and also thanks to Paolo for all the very useful infos prior my trip !

I only stayed 3 days in Spain so the result could have been better ; of course nothing to do with Alex's fantastic trip !

Let's start by one of my most desired species, Stilbum cyanurum. I was lucky to find it in Camargue, France few days ago :

Next, some Parnopes grandior. First pictures show specimens from France (Clermont-Ferrand) and the 2 last pictures a specimen from Spain (Soria).

At Clermont-Ferrand, I was surprised to see them visiting Rubus flowers.

A Chrysura sp. found on my way, in the Drôme (S-E France). I thought first about C. rufiventris but I think it's not (?)

EDIT : Chrysura refulgens

Hi Frank !

Your pictures are really amazing !

I think your Chrysura is a Chrysura refulgens for the propodeum very angular, the coloration of sternites and the elongated shape of third tergum. ;)

Any idea ?

EDIT : Chrysis rutiliventris

For the last one I think it could be Chrysis ruddii or C.rutiliventris for the narrow pronotum, the dark coloration on head and thorax and the altitude. Rather rutiliventris, in ruddii the ponctuation is denser and smaller on my specimens, and the sternites and legs are redder. But it's just my opinion, I'm not sure at 100%.

Thanks Thibault, I actually already found some similar specimens , but also the shape seemed different.. well let's see if someone here can confirm the species :)

Here is another wasp from the same area, tiny one, I think it could be Chrysis cortii, but not 100% sure...

Again same location, big size, from the large head I would say Chrysura austriaca (?)

EDIT : Chrysura simplex
