Chrysura pseudodichroa ?

Postby Thibaultlp » 29 Apr 2022 11:19

Hello everyone,

This spring I found several species of Chrysura from the dichroa group in south-east of France, I can only identificate males specimen with the shape of their genital capsula, morphological caracters are too hard to interpret for me in the females. This two last weeks I have collected Chrysura dichroa, laevigata and filiformis, but yesterday I found a new species with a different shape of genital capsula, and I'm not sure of the identification.

At first I guessed it could be Chrysura pseudodichroa for the small size and the golden color on the vertex, but I don't see the wrinkles that should be present on the genitalia of pseudodichroa.

So if someone get an idea for this one !

28/04/2022, on a twig in scrubland, Mazaugues (Var, France), there was also C.filiformis and C.candens at the same place.

Hi Paolo,

Thank you for your answer, as I said i don't see any wrinkles from any angle I look it, but maybe my magnification isn't powerful enough (*45).

But if you need I can maybe take more pictures of the genital capsula.
