Just Chrysis ignita group? N Italy

Postby briang » 16 Jul 2022 22:31

Val d’Arda (PC), N Apennines, Italy. 15 June 2022. Sunny and rocky roadside bank, ca700 m. I can only see three teeth on rim of T3 but assume must be four. I suppose this must be something in the Chrysis ignita complex, but I just wondered if it is possible to be more precise - or not! Thanks for any advice…

looks like C. inaequalis but I would like to see the body from the side to say for sure, the mesoplueron is distinctly "toothed" in that species

Many thanks for your thoughts Alex. Fairly sure I don't have a side view but I will look today and post here if I can find a useful one. Thanks again for making time to reply.
