Chrysura cuprea ? (from Georgia)

Hello, just a record for this species in Eastern Georgia, not sure if it has ever been found there and so far East (?)...

Hi Frank,

I wonder if it could be Chrysura declinanalis (like in this post : viewtopic.php?f=8&t=52087&p=85111&hilit=declinanalis#p85111), the metanotum looks not enough angular for cuprea or oraniensis and I seem to see a ledge at the apex of third tergite.

Great catch if it's this one ! :shock:

Thanks Thibault, that's funny because I found the T3 somewhat different from cuprea, but I didn't look closer to be honest because I'm not familiar with Chrysids of Middle East.

10 days in the country and I saw only this one, visiting yellow flowers. I caught it with my hand as I didn't have my net with me.

Well, let's wait for Paolo, maybe he could confirm your supposition, that would be great indeed!
