Hi to all,

Not posted anything from some time now.
Started now to work some of thre material collected this year.
This female of Chrysis was received from a friend (leg. A.Pintilioaie). Collected in 8.june.2012 near town of Iasi (NE Romania) in a forest. Is possible to say more?

A bigger photo here.

thank you,
Cosmin

Hi Cosmin,

I can only add Chrysis ignita group.
For the species identification let's wait for Villu.
Probably Chrysis corusca or something similar.
Could you take more pictures? For example the ventral surface of the abdomen, the face in frontal view?

Ciao
Paolo

Hi!

I can't identify it either, not enough characters are visible. I would also suspect C. mediata or C. solida - shape of ovipositor (internal segments) can help out. Ovipositor is not visible on photo - is it curved underneath or you have removed it to prepare separately?

Regards,
Villu

Hi Paolo,

Now I'm in Azerbaijan (looked also for Chrysididae there, seen three, 2 collected). On my return will take those photos too ;)

Hi Villu,

Unfortunately the internal segments are not prepared, never done that... is possible to see a photo with what will be the final result?
The ovipositor is inside the abdomen.

:thanks: to both of you,
Cosmin
