I would like to know which species/genus this is. Date: 12-07-2012, location near Valdieri, Alpi di Maritiimi, Northern Italy. About 6 mm, I''m not sure.

this is a female of Chrysis scutellaris Fabricius,
it's one of the most common Italian Chrysidids.

Thanks Paolo. So we know now that they are common and since I have male and female id in the field must be easy (ahum....).
