Not Chrysis, but Hedychridium, in the H. roseum species group - maybe Paolo can say more :)

Edit: Very nice pictures by the way!

Hallo!

yes, Alex is right,
It's a Hedychridium of the roseum group.
t belong to the species Hedychridium caputaureum Trautmann, recently considered as a subspecies of
H. chloropygum Buysson by Arens (2010).

Cheers
Paolo

Thank you Alex and Paolo !

Now, I am confused: the valid taxon is Hedychridium roseum caputaureum, or Hedychridium chloropygum ?

Thanks for clarifying.

Hi D.!

The valid taxon is: caputaureum Trautmann (in Trautmann & Trautmann), 1919.

You can consider it as
- a valid species: Hedychridium caputaureum, following many German authors (i.e. Niehuis, 1998)
- subspecies of: H. roseum (Rossi), following Linsenmaier and Faunaeur
- subspecies of: H. chloropygum du Buysson, following Arens.

I let you decide which is the best combination.
My impression is that this taxon could be the central and Northern form of chloropygum, but it could be also considered as a form of roseum. I hope that in the next future molecular analysis will help in this troubles.

Cheers
Paolo
