Holopyga chrysonota (Foerster) - Southern France

From Southern France (Lot). On Daucus carota in rough grass land. Oak forest nearby.

Rather small. Color pattern reminds of Hedychrum nobile, but it must be something else, especially in view of shape of head.

Thanks for your attention

Hi Cor!

you're right, this is not Hedychrum nobile, even if it has the same colour.

It belongs to the genus Holopyga, and it should be Holopyga chrysonota.
Do you also have a picture of the last tergite? (in back view)
So I can confirm it.

Cheers
Paolo

Thanks Paolo!

Regrettably, no photo in back view of abdomen. So I'll keep cf before the species name.
