Can the Sleeping Beauty :mrgreen: be ID? Maybe Elampus spina? Can at least the genus be confirmed? Thanks in advance!! :ok:

On Thapsia villosa in area with mediterranean vegetation in the outskirts of Madrid on 08.06.2013.

Yes, the genus is confirmed :ok:

Unfortunately not all the main features are well visible in your specimen, the only one is the shape of the metanotal projection. Based on this character I would say spina too, but it would be better to examine the specimen ... :doh:
