Hello Chrysis.net.

Last saturday I found this Chrysididae in Gulstav Mose, Denmark. I have no idea if this picture offers the detailes, which is needed for identification, but I was only able to shoot twice before it disappeared. i might be able to zoom in on some particular spots, though.

Kindly, Brian.

:welcome: Brian,

your specimen belongs to the Chrysis ignita group and could be Chrysis vanlithi or C. ruddi for the shorten pronotum.
I suspect the first one, even if I cannot see other details.
It would be the second know specimen from Denmark.

Cheers
Paolo

Hello Paolo.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the answer. It sounds very interesting since both options are not seen much here in Denmark, but the location for the observation is also situated in a very southern part of the country.

I'll try to photograph from all angles next time, now that I have discovered this forum.

Kindly, Brian.
