Hola Jose,

do you remember the size of this specimen?
it looks like the female of Chrysis sehestedti gogorzae, but there are other similar species around Madrid (in Mingo 1994 is under the wrong name: Chrysis magnitudina Linsenmaier: Linsenmaier himself placed magnitudina in synonym of gogorzae).

Cheers
Paolo

Hi,
this was a medium size Chrysidid; it's difficult for me to be very precise, but I think around 7 mm. For example, it was somewhat smaller than the female of Chrysura varicornis that I saw in the same place.

Thanks !!

Although the last year I saw this species several times, I am not very sure in my appreciation of the size.
I wonder if a view of the sternites would be useful in this case. This is another specimen, shot on 29/5/2011.

Thanks !
