Hello,

I found this small female Elampini, H. roseum group, in a way in the grassland of Chaudanne (Besançon).
I think it is Hedychridium roseum roseum (not nanum, not chloropygum, not caputaureum?), but not sure (females valesianum are not metallic in the key on Chrysidids of Aosta), what do you think ?

Hi,

yes, there's another option:

Hedychridium mediocrum Linsenmaier.
It's also quite common and females have non metallic abdomen and genae (in dorsal view) subparallel to slighlty divergent (not rounde as in H. roseum and H. valesiense females)

Is mediocrum Linsenmaier = mediocrate Kimsey ? Arens uses mediocrate in his paper (2015, key of the Hedychridium & Chrysis angustifrons-elegans).

Yes,
it's the same,
however Arens (2010: pag 413) uses H. mediocrum Linsenmaier, 1987 and not mediocrate Kimsey, 1991 (unnececessary replacement name) with explanation of these names.
