Chrysellampus sculpticollis - Germany

Hello,
I found a interesting wasp on a visit to Germany. It keys out to Philoctetes but I am not familiar enough with the species to identify it further.

I have also never seen one with a textured scutum. Any help would be wonderful.

Data: Germany, Altenbeken, Eggweg, August 4, 2014

Thank you!

Dear Chris :welcome:

This is a super cool finding!
It's the first record of Chrysellampus sculpticollis (Abeille de Perrin) for Germany!
That is very exciting. Do you have more information on the collecting place and methodology?
I suggest to write a short note on Ampulex.
I'll write to you on a p.m.

Amazing! This location ie about 5-10 km away from the village I grew up.
From where did this species immigrate?

Greetings Paul

What village are you from, Paul? I'm originally from that area as well, Paderborn to be more precise. Awesome find by the way, WH!
