Hi Frank,

this is a female of Chrysura laevigata (Abeille de Perrin),
you can recognize it for the elongate malar spaces.

Did you find Philoctetes?

Ah, actually Im totally wrong on this ! In fact I mixed pictures of another species (a Chrysis) showing the front head... Now it's obvious it is a Chrysura, though it seems to be rather late for them in August.

About Philoctetes, no, I coudn't find it, neither Hedychridium cupratum (I sent you an email about this few days ago).
